Strategic Points

There are a few things to consider before you get in too deep.

Determine if there are any community or town rules to which you must adhere.

Determine if there are any special events or holidays that might interfere. It doesn't make sense to compete with, say, Thanksgiving Day in the United States.

Capitalize on community or town days for sales. When a whole neighborhood coordinates a garage sale event, you can end up with much higher traffic.

Make sure you have enough stuff for a sale. Variety is important. If you don't have a wide variety of items, it may be worth waiting until you do.
